Over 10,000 Affected by Bad Weather Across 14 Districts

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A total of 10,270 people across 14 districts continue to be affected by the strong winds and heavy rains impacting the island.

The Disaster Management Center reported that 147 individuals have been placed in shelters in three safe locations.

Eighteen people have been injured as a result of the adverse weather conditions.

The number of damaged houses has risen to 2,711.

Landslide warnings remain in effect for five districts: Galle, Kandy, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura.
