2,653 Military Deserters Arrested Between Feb and May

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A total of 2,653 soldiers who had fled from the three armed forces without legally being discharged have been arrested between February 22 and May 30, 2025.
The arrests include 2,261 Army personnel, 194 Navy personnel, and 198 Air Force personnel.
