COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake has been referred to the prison hospital following a court order issued for his medical treatment.
Prisons Spokesperson Gamini B. Dissanayake said that the transfer was made in compliance with this directive.
The former minister, who was arrested by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID), was remanded until May 29 after being produced before Mount Lavinia Acting Magistrate Shantha Kumara yesterday.
He was arrested in relation to the discovery of a gold-plated T-56 assault rifle.
