Suspect Arrested for Misuse of Public Property in Kaduwela

COLOMBO (News 1st): A suspect has been arrested in connection with the misuse of public property in the Korathota area of Kaduwela. 

The suspect, a 39-year-old resident of Negombo, was taken into custody by the police.

According to police reports, the suspect allegedly used an excavator belonging to the Maga-Neguma Road Construction Company to operate a rock business on land owned by the Land Reclamation Commission in the Korathota Mikewatta area.

The arrest followed a complaint, prompting the Financial Crimes Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department to initiate an investigation into the matter.
