Man Arrested at BIA for Illegally Smuggling Stock of Cardamom

COLOMBO (News 1st): An individual has been arrested at the Katunayake Bandaranaike international airport for attempting to illegally bring a large quantity of cardamom to Sri Lanka. 

Police say that 8 mobile phones that were in his possession, were also seized. 

Police add that the individual arrived in Sri Lanka from Dubai, with the stock of cardamom. 

The arrested individual is a 48-year-old resident of Colombo 12.
