Temporary Voter ID Cards for 2024 Presidential Poll

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Election Commission has announced a new initiative to facilitate voting for individuals without a valid ID card in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Voters can now obtain a temporary voter ID card to ensure their participation in the electoral process.

According to the Election Commission, these temporary voter ID cards will be available at district election offices.

To apply, voters must submit their applications through their Grama Niladhari official or estate superintendent.
