Murders in Meegoda and Nittambuwa, 66-year old women and 33 year old man dead.

COLOMBO (News 1st); 2 Murders have been reported in Meegoda and Nittambuwa.

Police say a 66-year old woman was reported dead in the murder that took place Watareka, Meegoda.

It was revealed that two unidentified individuals had carried out an assault at the victims house resulting in her demise.

Meanwhile, the murder that took place in Thihariya, Nittambuwa was a result of a dispute that had taken place at a three-wheel stand in the region.

Police say the victim was attacked using an iron bludgeon after an argument between the suspect and victim had escalated as the victim was not allowed to park his three-wheeler in the region.

The victim was identified as a 33 year old man
