COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Examinations has announced robust security measures to safeguard the integrity of this year's GCE Ordinary Level examination question papers.

Examination Commissioner General Amit Jayasundara emphasized the importance of maintaining the confidentiality and fairness of the assessment process.

The monitoring process has been significantly strengthened to prevent any unauthorized access or tampering with question papers. Vigilance will be maintained at all stages of the examination cycle.

Additional teams will be deployed at both provincial and regional levels to oversee the distribution, handling, and collection of question papers.

Police protection will be provided during the transportation and storage of question papers.

The GCE exam, which covers a wide range of subjects, is scheduled to take place from 6th to 15th of May.

The Examination Department has confirmed that the results of the recent Advanced Level (A-level) examination will be released within the next month.

The re-checking of results has already commenced.

Additionally, the department continues to evaluate the answer sheets of candidates with special needs.
