SLFP Politburo meeting to be held on Monday

A Sri Lanka Freedom Party Politburo meeting will be held tomorrow in Colombo.

The meeting was called by the Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva.

Sri Lanka Freedom Party Treasurer, State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna said that the crisis that has arisen in the party will be discussed there.

He said that there will be many decisions to be made regarding the upcoming political situation.

In the meantime, the police say that entry into the Sri Lanka Freedom Party headquarters will continue to be prohibited.

The police said that security has been tightened at the party headquarters.

The relevant investigation is being carried out in relation to a complaint made by the Acting Secretary General of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Sarathi Dushmantha Mithrapala to the Maradana Police.

This is regarding the missing of some essential documents in the party office.
