Kusal Mendis to lead SL against Afghanistan in ODI series

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Selection Committee has selected the 16-member squad to take part in the upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan with Kusal Mendis as the Captain.

Charith Asalanka will be taking up the role of Vice Captain.

The squad is as follows:

6. Janith Liyanage
7. Wanindu Hasaranga
8. Maheesh Theekshana

11. Pramod Madushan

13. Akila Dananjaya
14. Dunith Wellalage
15. Chamika Karunaratne
16. Shevon Daniel

The Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Harin Fernando has granted approval to the squad.

The 3 ODIs will be held on February 9, 11, 14 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, according to the SLC. The day-night games will start at 02.30 p.m.
