Train schedule along coastal line revised

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Railways said the train schedule along the Coastal line was revised from Monday (01).

Deputy General Manager N.J. Indipolage said the measure was taken after considering complaints received from passengers regarding train delays.

He said the train which left the Galle railway station to Colombo Fort at 4.30am, will now leave at 4.10a.m, and the change was made after cancelling the train plying from Galle to Ambalangoda. 

Indipolage said the changes will be monitored for two weeks to identify issues, and suggestions from passengers will be taken into consideration to make the necessary changes thereafter.
