TU action stalls Radiology Unit activities at Apeksha Hospital

COLOMBO (News 1st); Personnel at the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama, attached to the Government Radiological Technologists' Association, have stepped away from their additional shift duties.

They had resorted to this move against the decision that was taken to slash the allowance paid for additional shifts.

As a result of this move, Radiology Unit activities at the Apeksha Hospital have come to a standstill, and patients visiting the hospital have been forced to turn back.

News 1st correspondents said that this had led to a drop in the number of patients visiting the hospital for treatment.
