Consumer Affairs Authority to increase raids for festive season

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Consumer Affairs Authority said it will carry out more raids from Thursday (30) for the festive season.

The raids will continue until the 15th of January, 2024.

Chairman Attorney Shantha Niriella said officers will also be assigned duties on holidays.

He urged traders to refrain from hoarding stocks and selling goods for prices higher than the stipulated maximum retail price.

Niriella said the price of the goods should also be displayed for the consumers.
