COLOMBO (News 1st) - Five suspects who were transporting heroin worth over Rs. 4 billion in a multi-day fishing trawler vessel have been arrested.
The raid was conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police Narcotics Bureau on a vessel that was detained in the deep sea areas of the sea of Sri Lanka.
The vessel which was docked at the Dondra Port Fishing on Sunday (22) morning when the raid was conducted leading to the discovery of the narcotics.
It was also reported that over 200 kg of Heroin were found in this regard.
