COLOMBO (News 1st); The Katunayake Airport Police have arrested three persons with a stock of communication equipment illegally imported into Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Police said the suspects aged 22, 27 and 46 years, are residents of Colombo 10.

The stock of communication equipment has been found while inspecting a motor vehicle that was preparing to leave the Katunayake Airport premises.

Nine laptops, 121 smart phones, 100 small mobile phones and 240 chargers, phone batteries and phone covers were found. 

The Airport Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
