The Department of Railways says that 19 train operations along all lines were cancelled due to a trade union action launched by locomotive drivers.

The Railways Department says the operation of slow trains are likely to be cancelled.

Several office train journeys are also expected to be cancelled, while all operations will be delayed.

The trade union action was launched at 12 midnight yesterday, citing several concerns including recruitment issues.
