Over Rs. 2 Bn to be given as allowances for July

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's State Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe on Wednesday (23) announced that over Rs. 2 billion was transferred from the Treasury to all the District Secretariats to be distributed as allowances.

The funds were released for the month of July for the Kidney Patients Allowance, Differently Abled Allowance, and the Low-Income Elders Allowance.

He said that the Elder's Allowance will be available to the beneficiaries from the post offices.

The State Minister said that the Differently abled allowance and the Kidney Patients Allowance will be available via the Divisional Secretariats from Friday.
