COLOMBO (News 1st); Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said three incidents of exam fraud have been reported at three exam centers, for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination.
The Department of Examinations said a candidate sitting for the exam at the examination center located at the Wellassa Central College in Bibile had used her mobile phone to send the mathematics question paper to a teacher and get answers via WhatsApp.
Invigilators had caught two candidates using their phones to send the mathematics question paper to teachers separately at the examination center at Henegama Central College.
The Department of Examinations said five students had used social media to forward the mathematics question paper to teachers and obtain answers at the examination center at the Davisamara College in Seeduwa.
The law will be strictly implemented against the candidates and others involved in these incidents.
