Sri Lanka nears 40,000 dengue cases in 2023

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Dengue Control Unit said it would increase mosquito prevention programs in districts where dengue cases are surging.

Director of the National Dengue Control Unit Dr. Nalin Ariyaratne said special teams have been deployed to those areas.

Director of the National Dengue Control Unit Dr. Nalin Ariyaratne said that as a result of the mosquito control program carried out in recent week, the number of patients reported from certain areas has dropped.

Sri Lanka has recorded 39,409 dengue cases so far in 2023.

Director of the National Dengue Control Unit Dr. Nalin Ariyaratne said two hours on Friday (2) will be dedicated for cleanup operations.
