COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena left the island early on Wednesday (31) morning for an official visit to Thailand.

The Prime Minister's Media Unit said the Prime Minister left the island to attend the United Nations (UN) Vesak festival in Thailand.

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena is due to meet the King of Thailand, the Thai Prime Minister, and a group of diplomats during the visit.

An 11-member delegation left for Thailand with the Prime Minister.
