Rajangane Saddharathana Thero, remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st); Ven. Rajangane Saddharathana Thero who was arrested by the CID, and produced to the Fort Magistrate's Court, was remanded to the 7th of June, said Sri Lanka Police.

Venerable Rajanganaye Saddharathana Thero was arrested in Anuradhapra on the charge of making comments that harm religious co-existence in Sri Lanka.

Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that the arrest was made by the CID in Anuradhapura.
