COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Ranil Wickremesinghe has concluded his official visit to Singapore and Japan, returning to the island last night. During his visit, the President engaged in productive meetings with the leaders of both Singapore and Japan, further strengthening bilateral relations.
Notably, President Wickremesinghe actively participated in the prestigious Nikkei's Future of Asia conference, where he had the opportunity to address regional challenges and share his insights. On the sidelines of the conference, the President also held bilateral discussions with several leaders from Asian nations, fostering open dialogue and cooperation.
Recognizing the importance of regional cooperation, President Wickremesinghe emphasized the need for open dialogue between Japan, China, India, and the ASEAN nations. This call for collaboration aims to address shared challenges and promote stability and prosperity in the region.
