COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chief incumbent of the Mihinthale Rajamaha Viharaya, Venerable Dr. Walawahengunaweve Dhammarathana Thero says he would walk the streets to collect funds for the National Poson Festival.

The final meeting of the National Poson Committee gathered on Wednesday (24) with Anuradhapura District Secretary Janaka Jayasundara chairing the session.

The Chief incumbent of the Mihinthale Rajamaha Viharaya announced that the Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board had issued a letter not to provide electricity until the payments are made for the Aloka Pooja.

Following the committee meeting, Ven. Dr. Walawahengunaweve Dhammarathana Thero and the Sangha engaged in a process of obtaining alms to source funds for the National Poson Festival.
