COLOMBO (News 1st); The Working Committee of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya has unanimously decided to name Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa as the next Presidential candidate from the Samagi Jana Alliance headed by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.

Accordingly, a proposal submitted by SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara and former MP Sujeewa Senasinghe in this regard was unanimously approved by the SJB Working Committee during its meeting held on Monday (15).

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa speaking at the meeting informed the Working Committee that he would take up both the internal and external responsibilities in building a SJB led alliance.
