Colombo (News 1st) - The Turkiye Foreign Ministry confirmed Friday that one of its C-130 Hercules aircraft evacuating Turkiye nationals from Sudan was fired upon and damaged at Khartoum's Wadi Seyidna Airport. No one was hurt.
Sudan's military accused the rival Rapid Support Force (RSF) of attacking the aircraft.
More than 500 people have died in over a week of fighting between the military and the RSF, and many nations are trying to evacuate their citizens from Sudan by air, sea, or land.
