Deadly Magnitude 6.5 Earthquake Hits Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India

A powerful earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale struck Afghanistan, Pakistan, and parts of India, causing widespread damage and claiming the lives of at least three people, according to police and officials.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 40km south-southeast of the Afghan town of Jurm, near the borders with Pakistan and Tajikistan, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). 

Hundreds were also injured in northern Pakistan due to the strong tremors, with reports of the earthquake felt as far as the Indian capital New Delhi.
