COLOMBO (News 1st); The International Monetary Fund said that it does not intervene in local election processes.

Masahiro Nozaki, IMF Mission Chief for Sri Lanka said that the IMF does not intervene in local election processes.

He added that the IMF has never recommended postponing local election in Sri Lanka.
