Woman killed in Wanathamulla shooting; Two Military Intelligence personnel arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); A 25-year-old woman died following a shooting that took place in Talgaswatte, Wanathamulla in Borella.

Sri Lanka Police said that two Sri Lanka Army Intelligence personnel had visted the area on Monday (13) night to extract information relating to drug trafficking.

A weapon had discharged during the process, and the woman had died due to gun shot injuries.

The two Sri Lanka Army Intelligence personnel have thus been arrested and an investigation is underway.
