Colombo (News1st) - The new artificial intelligence bot chatGPT has proven itself to be smart enough to pass graduate-level exams at prestigious universities, although it hasn't yet managed to reach the highest levels of academic excellence.

ChatGPT recently passed exams in four courses in law at the University of Minnesota, and one exam at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.

In the law exams, ChatGPT earned a C+ grade in the four exams in which it was required to answer multiple choice and essay questions. It fared better at the business exam, earning a B-.

Wharton Profesor Christian Terwiesch said that ChatGPT did an amazing job in areas such as operations management and process-analysis questions, but struggled with more advanced concepts and made some surprising mistakes in basic math.

The advent of ChatGPT has caused much alarm in academic circles that students could use it to answer their assignments, and several universities have already banned students from using it.
