Woman and two children killed in house fire

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Three members of the same family died following a fire at their residence on Thursday (26) night in Mankadawala, Elayapattuwa.

Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa told News 1st that a woman (30), and her daughter (10) and son (5) died in the tragedy.

He added that the husband of the deceased woman had attempted to rescue the family, however he had suffered burn injuries and was moved for treatment.
