COLOMBO (News 1st) – Colombo High Court today acquitted Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Dr. Nalaka Godahewa and two others for misappropriating state funds.

Dr. Godahewa was acquitted from the case filed against him for misappropriating state funds worth Rs. 5 million belonging to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) during his tenure as the commission’s chairman, to the ‘Tharunyata Hetak’ organization.
