'Everything Everywhere All At Once' gets 11 Oscar nominations

Colombo (News 1st) - 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' , the science fiction comedy-drama starring Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis, received 11 nominations for the 95th Academy Awards (Oscars) that were announced Tuesday (24th).

'All Quiet on the Western Front' and 'The Banshees of Insherin' followed with nine nominations each.

Nominees for Best Picture are “All Quiet on the Western Front”, “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “The Banshees of Inisherin”, “Elvis”, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, “The Fabelmans”, “Tár”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, “Triangle of Sadness”, and “Women Talking”.

Nominees for Best Actor are Austin Butler in “Elvis”, Colin Farrell in “The Banshees of Inisherin”, Brendan Fraser in “The Whale”, Paul Mescal in “Aftersun”, and Bill Nighy in “Living”.

Nominees for Best Actress are Cate Blanchett in “Tár”, Ana de Armas in “Blonde”, Andrea Riseborough in “To Leslie”, Michelle Williams in “The Fabelmans” and Michelle Yeoh in “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.

In the coveted category of Best Director the nominees are Martin McDonagh for “The Banshees of Inisherin”, Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan for “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, Steven Spielberg for “The Fabelmans”, Todd Field for “Tár” and Ruben Ostlund for “Triangle of Sadness”.

Nominees for the 23 categories were announced this morning (Tuesday) by Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood to celebrate the winners selected by the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
