COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Conservation said that a team of officials have left for the Gal-Ara Buffer Zone belonging to the Yala Park today (28) to investigate the clearing of the area by a group.
This is based on the instructions given by the Minister of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation Mahinda Amaraweera to the Secretary of the Ministry Chandra Herath to provide an investigation report on the related incident.
Secretary of the Ministry Chandra Herath said that strict disciplinary steps will be taken against the officials responsible for the related incident who have neglected their duties.
