Rainfall for the North of Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology says that several spells of light showers will occur in the Northern province.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva and Southern provinces, and showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Eastern provinces during the afternoon or night.

The Misty condition can be expected in Sabaragamuwa, Central provinces, and Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Condition of Rain:

Several spells of light showers may occur in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Kankasanturai.

Winds:

Winds will be from a north-easterly or variable direction and the speed will be (20-30) kmph.  

State of Sea:

The sea areas around the island will be slight.
