Cabinet nod to make recommendations on SriLankan restructuring

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Cabinet has approved for the State-owned Enterprises Restructuring Unit to study and make recommendations on restructuring SriLankan Airlines.

This Cabinet approval has been given taking into account a proposal presented by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation  Nimal Siripala Silva.

It has been determined that it is appropriate to restructure the airline and its managed companies by handing over significant shares of Sri Lanka Airlines and the management of the company to select investors filtered through a transparent procurement process.
