Police must protect Wasantha Mudalige - HCRSL

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka advised that Sri Lanka Police should act with responsibility and take all necessary steps for the protection and safety of Wasantha Mudalige, a suspect currently in detention.

Sri Lanka's Human Rights Commission on Tuesday (4) said that every single person is entitled to equal protection of the law.

It added that no citizen shall be discriminated on the grounds of political opinion.
