Health Ministry to initiate survey to identify nutritional problems within SL

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Health has taken steps to initiate an islandwide survey to identify nutritional problems in the country.

The Minister of Health, Keheliya Rambukwella stated that the decision was reached in view of incidents related to malnutrition which were reported from several areas of the country.

The minister also mentioned that Health Ministry officials have been informed to take necessary steps in this regard.

The minister added that further action is expected to be taken soon based on the data and the outcome of the survey.
