Eighty-two people arrested during SYU protest, released on bail

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Eighty-two people arrested during the protest organized by the Socialist Youth Union have been released on bail.
The Maligakanda Magistrate has ordered for the release of 79 people on police bail and 3 others on surety bail.
A protest was organized by the Socialist Youth Union on Saturday (24), which led to the arrest of 83 protestors.
The Police Media Spokesperson said that their statements were recorded last night as well.
Two monks, 77 males and 4 females were among those arrested.
