Essential Medicines from China to reach SL

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A plane transporting essential medicines is scheduled to arrive in the country from China today (23).

Medical Technical Services Director at the Ministry of Health Dr. Anwar Hamdani said the stock of medicines includes rabies vaccines for a period of six months.

Essential medicines for kidney patients and cancer patients are also included in the consignment.

Dr. Hamdrani says the medicine stocks from China, which are being obtained following a request made to the Chinese government, are worth close to Rs.500 Million.
