Former Sri Lanka Cricket Team Captain and the former head coach of the Mumbai Indians team, Mahela Jayawardene, has been appointed as the global performance head of the team.

Accordingly, Jayawardena's role in his new position includes presenting strategic plans and the creation of an integrated global high-performance system.
