Amended Appropriation Act in effect from Friday (9)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The amended Appropriation Bill will come into effect from today (9) after the Speaker of the Parliament, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena signed his endorsment.

The Speaker of the Parliament endorsed the certificate on the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill to amend the Appropriation Act No. 30 of 2021 at the Parliament today.

The Third Reading of the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill was passed in Parliament on the 2nd of September without a vote and the Second Reading of the Bill was passed by a majority of 115 votes in Parliament.
