Chinese Ambassador briefs Education Min. China donations

COLOMBO (News 1st); China has donated 5,000 MT of rice to children in Sri Lanka, said Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong in a briefing with the Education Minister on Thursday (8).

Currently, the rice are been distributed to 7,900 schools across the country, tweeted the Chinese Embassy.

Also, the Chinese Government says that it has decided to supply another 5,000 MT of rice stock in the next 3 months.

Additionally, the Chinese Government has gifted school uniforms to 70% of school children, it added.
