“Ella Odyssey” - Two more additional journeys

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Railways has decided to add two more additional journeys to the “Ella Odyssey”.

Ella Odyssey Train is a special Train operated from Colombo to Badulla VIA Kandy – Nanu Oya – Ella ended up in Badulla. 

This Ella Odyssey Train stops at scenic / important photo locations which are located between Kandy and Badulla. 

The Purpose of this Ella Odyssey Train is to help Sri Lanka Tourism by providing a joyful / thrilled train journey for local and overseas travelers. 

Sri Lanka Railways Deputy Operations Superintendent V.S. Polwattage said that the additional train journeys will commence on Thursday, the 08th of September 2022. 

He said that the “Ella Odyssey” will operate from Colombo to Badulla every Thursday and will return from Badulla to Colombo every Friday.

Sri Lanka Railways Deputy Operations Superintendent V.S. Polwattage said the two additional train journeys were added due to high demand of local tourists. 

He added that passengers can reserve their tickets 14-days prior to their booking.
