Money dispute leads to shooting in Pitigala

COLOMBO (News 1st); A 31-year-old man has passed away in a shooting incident in Pitigala, Talgaswala.

Police said that he was shot on Saturday (04) afternoon while returning home from on a motorcycle.

The shooting was carried out by a person who was hiding in a deserted area.

After being admitted to Elpitiya Hospital, the victim had succumbed to his injuries at Karapitiya Hospital, when he was admitted for further treatment.

The deceased was identified as a person who gave money on interest.

Police said that the reason for the shooting incident was rooted in a money dispute.
