Diesel Distribution underway

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Petroleum Private Tanker Owners' Association says the distribution of Diesel resumed across the country last night (28). 

The Secretary of the Sri Lanka Petroleum Private Tanker Owners' Association Shantha Silva says the shortage of Diesel will be addressed in the next two days. 

However, he said that the Petrol is distributed according to a priority list, adding that a short supply of Petrol is likely until another shipment arrives in the country.

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says an additional 500 to 1000 MT of Diesel and Petrol are being distributed across the country.

This is in addition to 4,000 MT of Diesel and 3,000 MT of Petrol that is distributed daily. 

The CPC emphasized that there are sufficient reserves of Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene to meet the local demand.
