Power cut for today (28) reduced to ONE hour

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), Janaka Rathnayake says that power cuts for Sunday (28) have been reduced to ONE hour only in the night.

Accordingly, the power cuts have been reduced due to lower demand and the resumption of coal power plant. 

Previously, power cuts were imposed for three hours for the day, with 1 hour and 20 minute power cut imposed for the night.

He further stated that power shedding for the coming week will be decided based on the available resources and will be notified later.
