Radiotherapy at Apeksha Hospital from Monday (29)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The radiotherapy machine at the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital, which was inactive has been repaired. 

According to the Apeksha Hospital, the radiotherapy machine was repaired by an Engineer who visited from India. 

The Director of the Apeksha Hospital, Dr. Aruna Jayasekara says radiotherapy treatment will resume on Monday (29).

Radiotherapy is a treatment where radiation is used to kill cancer cells.

Radiotherapy can be used to try to cure cancer, reduce the chance of cancer coming back or to help relieve symptoms.
