Ranjan goes to Gangaramaya after release

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former MP Ranjan Ramanayake, who received a conditional presidential pardon, visited the Hunupitiya Gangarama Temple in Colombo after his release.

Members of the Maha Sangha, including Dr. Kirinde Assaji Thera, Gangarama Temple Director, blessed Ramanayake who engaged in religious ceremonies.

Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, MPs Harshana Rajakaruna, S.M. Marikkar and a group of Samagi Jana Balawegaya MPs also attended the occasion.

Ramanayake was released from the Welikada prison after obtaining a conditional presidential pardon on Friday (26).
