COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said it continues to make arrests over the 9th May 2022 violence.

The Office of the Police Spokesperson in a statement on Monday (22) evening said that daily arrests are being made over the violence that took place on the 9th of May 2022.

Police said that 31 people were arrested on Sunday (21), and 6 of them were remanded.

According to police a total of 3,553 suspects have been arrested so far, and 1,255 of them were remanded.
