Person arrested for transporting 1,000l diesel

COLOMBO (News 1st); One person has been arrested for illegally transporting diesel in a cab in Hiniduma area.

Police said that an illegal stock of diesel was found while checking the cab at a roadblock.

Accordingly, 1,000 liters of diesel was found inside the cab at the time.

The arrested 31-year-old suspect, identified as a resident of Pelawatte, has been released on police bail after being informed to appear before the Udugama Magistrate's Court.
